Brazilian author born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Since 2013, he has lived in London, where he obtained British citizenship. A freelance journalist trained at the British College of Journalism, Sandro discovered the fascinating world of literature during the years he lived in Portugal. Born in 1978 and a keen observer of everyday life, he draws inspiration from daily experiences to craft stories that encourage positive transformation and inspire meaningful change in people's lives.
His most successful novel, Porta do Sol, invites readers to join Alexandre Natan and his wife, Tessa, on an extraordinary journey. Burdened by debt and uncertainty, they decide to risk everything to pursue their dreams and discover a love far stronger than they ever imagined. Although a work of fiction, the novel is inspired by true events. It explores the importance of making life-changing choices, recognising what truly matters, and finding the strength to move forward. Above all, it delivers a compelling message about how we face the mysteries of life in the modern world.
His novel Lis – Discover a Greater Love, which ranked as the second best-selling book on Amazon for eight consecutive months, addresses sensitive themes such as suicide and depression through a moving love story set in the outskirts of Brasília, Brazil's capital. The book encourages readers to embrace their true identity and reminds us that happiness is often much closer than we realise, even when we struggle to see it.
His novels A Bruxa de Belford (The Witch of Belford) and Quando Dormem os Girassóis (When the Sunflowers Sleep) explore prejudice in its many forms, with particular emphasis on discrimination against women. Although the release of both books was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they are scheduled for publication and are currently under consideration by Netflix for adaptation into a television series.
Throughout his career, Sandro has built a distinguished track record across technology, business, and literature. As an entrepreneur in Brazil's technology sector, he worked alongside major private and public organisations, including the National Nuclear Energy Commission (CNEN), Petrobras, the Rio de Janeiro State Public Security Secretariat, Banco Bradesco, Scopus Tecnologia S/A, IBM, Microsoft, Cisco, and many others. His work has always been guided by the ethical management and use of information as a key driver of human development. Alongside his career as an author, he also provides consultancy to businesses across Europe and Latin America in technology, corporate storytelling, and mentoring.
Between 2017 and 2019, Sandro served on the board of the Brazilian Citizenship Council in the United Kingdom (CCRU), where he was responsible for the Associations portfolio and also held the role of Executive Secretary. During this period, he contributed to the Citizenship Book project, which led to the publication of the children's book The Adventures of Alice, João and Guaraná. Written by Sandro Vita, the project was developed in partnership with the Embassy of Brazil in London, the Consulate General of Brazil in London, and five educational institutions dedicated to preserving the Portuguese language as a heritage language in the United Kingdom. The book achieved more than 50,000 e-book downloads and approximately 8,000 printed copies sold. The entire project was carried out on a not-for-profit basis, with free digital downloads and printed editions sold at cost price.
In 2018 and 2019, Sandro also contributed to initiatives associated with the United Nations (UN) that promoted culture and education in developing countries. Since 2017, he has been a sponsoring member of the Volunteer in the World initiative. In 2021, he was re-elected to the CCRU as General Coordinator for the 2021–2023 term and also took on the role of General Communications Coordinator for the Council of Brazilian Representatives Abroad (CRBE), an organisation with representation in 64 countries.
Seven of his books have been published in Portuguese, with two also available in English. Among them is the bestselling novel Porta do Sol, which had reached more than 1.5 million readers by mid-2022. His works have been recognised in some of the most prestigious Brazilian and international literary awards.
Praised by both readers and critics, his writing explores social and cultural themes, addressing issues such as discrimination against women, depression in modern life, and the causes and consequences of migration. His distinctive style blends mystery and suspense with subtle elements of the supernatural and spirituality.
In 2020, his book Aplausos na Varanda – Memórias de uma Quarentena, a collection created by Brazilians from around the world in partnership with author Vanderli Bello, received the Focus Brasil London Award in recognition of its contribution to Brazilian culture in Europe and the United States.

He delivers both in-person and online courses in Creative Writing, guiding aspiring authors through the process of writing their first book while also providing practical insight into the digital publishing industry.
Drawing on more than 25 years of experience in the information technology sector, Sandro applies the principles of storytelling to advise, mentor, and train artists, executives, entrepreneurs, and professionals across a wide range of industries. His corporate training programmes are delivered internationally and are based on a methodology he developed himself, inspired by the work of various authors, with particular influence from Women Who Run with the Wolves and The Art of War.
With more than 155 published book projects to his name, Sandro has worked extensively as a ghostwriter for both emerging and established authors in Brazil, Portugal, and Angola. He also provides creative narrative consultancy for writers seeking to strengthen the impact of their work.
In addition to his publishing career, Sandro regularly delivers lectures at universities, schools, private companies, and charitable organisations. He also writes articles in both Portuguese and English for newspapers, magazines, and online publications.
He is a member of the International Academy of Brazilian Literature (AILB), where he holds Chair No. 7. He is also a member of the Association of Brazilian Artists and Artisans in the United Kingdom (ABA), as well as several literary associations in Brazil and Portugal.
In November 2020, Sandro was named Best Brazilian Writer in Europe at the Best of Brazil European Award, organised by entrepreneur Rafael dos Santos, CEO of High Profile Club Magazine. In 2021, he received the Best Brazilian Writer Global Award at the Best of Brazil Global Awards, held at Kensington Palace in London.
Most recently, his acclaimed novel Porta do Sol (Portuguese) / The Sun Door (English) was republished by the renowned American publisher Underline Publishing, headquartered in New York, USA.
